The Ministry of Health received emergency medical training Equipment

DSC09949The Ministry of Health received medical equipment and resources worth Nu. 1.8 Million from the Bhutan Foundation. This is a part of Bhutan Foundation’s on-going program to improve emergency medical services in Bhutan in partnership with the Emergency Medical Services Division under the Health Ministry and the Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital (JDWNRH).

Donated resources include training manuals and equipment such as adult, child, and neonatal manikins that can be used for training of health workers and others in resuscitation, intubation, and birth simulations.

Sixth SAARC meeting of Health Ministers, Health Secretaries and Government Officials

The Sixth SAARC meeting of Health Ministers, Health Secretaries and Government Officials ended today(29.07.2017) in Colombo, Sri Lanka. At the Meeting, the SAARC Member States adopted the Colombo Declaration.

The Colombo Declaration broadly consists of 10 key messages on Nutrition, sanitation, Anti-Microbial Resistance, Non-Communicable Diseases, preparedness for emerging and re-emerging diseases, Universal Health Coverage, strengthening regulatory system in health, vector-borne disease, burden of communicable diseases, climate change and disaster, R&D, Traditional Medicines in modern healthcare and the cross border health issues.
